When she was eight, Renée read Harriet the Spy. She thought her neighbours couldn't see her as she crouched behind their house taking notes. When she was nine, she borrowed her father's tape recorder and interviewed her family about the sudden death of their pet hamster. When Renée was ten, she started writing her first novel. And through all of this, her parents paid her a dollar for each "A" she achieved in school.
What does this tell you?
Renée has always been curious. She loves to ask people questions and create stories out of their answers. She relishes large projects with no foreseeable end in sight. And she equates doing a good job with getting paid!
How lucky is Renée? She does what she loves and still gets loonies for high marks.
